This is a work example. NEW CAMPAIGN FOR METHODIST HOSPITAL’S EATING DISORDERS INSTITUTE MAKES IT VERY PERSONAL. MINNEAPOLIS (June 6, 2008) - Clarity Coverdale Fury, a Minneapolis-based advertising agency, recently launched a new campaign for its long-time client, Park Nicollet Health Services and Methodist Hospital. The new campaign for Methodist Hospital’s Eating Disorders Institute focuses on the personal stories from several patients. The true stories are used in three sixty-second radio commercials, all of which detail the patients’ struggles with the pain of eating disorders. All of the radio spots end by directing people to a website where more personal stories can be heard. Guests who visit the Methodist Eating Disorders Institute website (parknicollet.com/edi) will see a very compelling montage of constantly changing typography that’s cued to Faith’s recorded story. The result is both emotionally and visually arresting. The Eating Disorders Institute site also offers visitors the option of listening to four longer stories that vary in length from 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes that include more personal experiences from the patients that weren’t included in the radio spots. The new campaign is designed to reach out to the growing number of people, especially young women, who are struggling with eating disorders. As Joan Sandstrom, Vice President, Medical Subspecialties said of the new campaign, “We wanted our message to be honest and from the heart, and the best way to do that was to let the patients talk about their experiences.” The campaign is scheduled to run throughout 2008, utilizing radio and web banners.
