I think this is a great sampling of the insights I have developed about Social Media in general. The Social Media Principles was my favorite chapter of the book I never finished last year. They are the foundations upon which success in social media is built. They are the core foundations of my work with AdHocnium - in order to help companies transform themselves to thrive in the social era, people need to first see things differently, then think differently and ultimately be different. In this first part of the interview, I focused on items more relevant to businesses in Hawaii. An additional interview focused on enterprise concerns will be released next week.

Thanks to Makers Mark, SF AMA, Social Media Club and Andy Sernovitz for a great early happy hour on Thursday June 26, 2008. Andy was in town speaking at the SF AMA about Word of Mouth Marketing and asked Social Media Club to help co-promote a Blogger Meetup beforehand. Thanks to Marissa Root for filling the role of Vanna, Andy for the autographed copies of his book, and the great Makers Mark Ambassador program for 2 cases of Makers Mark.

The music track here is not podsafe, but it really was right for the spirit of it all, so everyone give the Chemical Brothers some love for their awesome Galaxy Bounce!
This was a great panel of the leading folks inside of Dell's Social Media Revolution. This 58 minute video gets to the heart of the challenges they had to overcome and the success they are enjoying for their perseverence.
