Ballon Kyphoplasty, a new minamilly- invasive orthopaedic spine procedure has proved to be a suited option to treat verterbral compression fractures (VCFs) that occur as a complication of osteoporosis, a disease that makes the bones weaker to increased risk of fractures. Dr Sajan K Hegde, Head Spine Unit, Apollo Hospitals shared the news at an event held in the city on World Osteoporosis Day.
