  New York, NY (Channel 6 News) -- Madison Square Garden hosted 2 intense games of college hoops Tuesday. One between Stanford and UMass, and another between Washington and Minnesota. Thursday's championship game will be played between the 3 seed Stanford Cardinals and the 6th seeded Golden Gophers. The gophers secured there sport after a 1 point win in Overtime.

The first game at 7 pm brings 5th seed UMass against 3rd seed Stanford. Then at 9 pm, 1st seed Washington goes up against 6th seed Minnesota. The game's winners will go on to play in the NIT Championship on March 29th.

  Irvington Residents Raise $80,000 in First Ever ...
  
  Irvington, NY (Channel 6 News) --This past Saturday a number of brave community members dove into the frigid Hudson River for the first ever 'Penguin Plunge'. The idea for the event came from Officer Mike Toolan who says he just wanted an excuse to dive into the river. In the end the event brought together over 100 community members and raised $80,000 for Rec Center activities.
