Each year the Arts Council for Monterey County encourages and promotes excellence in the arts by recognizing outstanding organizations and individuals from all areas of our region. We are thrilled to announce that renowned painter JACK SWANSON is the recipient this year of the Lifetime Achievement Award, teaching artist DAVID ALLAN will be honored as a Champion/ Friend of the Arts, and ARIEL THEATRICALl founding director GAIL HIGGINBOTTHAM is our Luminary. We will also present awards to Paul Fleischman - Professional Artist, Dr. Amalia Mesa-Baines - Arts Educator, Youth Arts Collective, and David and Susan Gill, Philanthropist. 22 minutes.
