J. Michael Straczynski embarked upon the CBR TV yacht to talk about his Comic-Con International announcements, starting with the launch of his and Patricia Tallman's Studio JMS, a partnership with Image Comics and other media outlets where he will develop concepts he owns. Through Image, JMS will launch several comics series under the resurrected Joe's Comics imprint allowing him to tell the stories he wants without having to be concerned about sharing the universe with other creators or owners. JMS spoke on the Before Watchmen controversy and the apparent lack of effect it has had on the series' sales so far, saying that the quality of the books so far has helped bolster the event and surprised critics and supporters alike. When asked what he would say to Alan Moore should he ever have the chance to talk about Before Watchmen, JMS said that aside from being intimidated, he would explain to the legendary writer why he feels Moore's position on the prequels is flawed. Finally, JMS discussed his deal with Legendary Comics writing "The Majestic Files," explaining the storyline and the appeal the graphic novel project holds for him.
