Rear Admiral David Gardam is the new Commander of Maritimes Forces Atlantic. Gardam oversees 37,000 personnel, the largest command within the Canadian Forces. “I’m the largest CEO in the Maritimes”, he says. He assumes this new position as the navy faces some great challenges including reducing funding, its aging fleet and recruitment.
