Today, May 8, 2010 was Massachusetts Youth Pride on the Boston Common, sponsored by the Mass. Commission on Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Youth and "The Friends of GLBT Youth, Inc." Students come from high school GSAs (Gay Straight Alliance clubs) around the state. The parade and Common event are followed by the Prom at Boston City Hall at 7pm tonight, sponsored by BAGLY, the Boston Alliance of Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender Youth. At approximately 11am there was a huge downpour. The outdoor event goes from 11 to 4 p.m., and so being slow I did not see any of the parade. I then walked to the Common Gazebo and took 9 minutes of the remains of an event to show proof this happened. There were others taping so we will have to see what they were able to capture in such a rainstorm. I had to wait until 4:30pm for the train home and so this will be all I have for you on the Youth Pride event. I have taped this event for 4 years . This was captured on a JVC camcorder.
