Sister Helen Garvey, BVM opens the Women & Spirit: Catholic Sisters in America exhibit at the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, Dubuque, Iowa, with her presentation, "Meanings of an Exhibit." Sister Helen talks about the experience of bringing this important historical exhibit to life as Chair of the History Committee for the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR). This presentation was sponsored by the Humanities of Iowa and Dubuque Arts and Culture Grants Program.
Presented by Sister Mary McCauley, BVM Sister Mary was serving as pastoral administrator at St. Bridget Church in Postville, Iowa, at the time of the U.S. Immigrations and Custom Enforcement (ICE) raid in 2008.
