On ‘Buying Detroit’, investors search tirelessly for the best deals on the market while exploring the culture and vast history of the Motor City. The Host and Executive Director, Vernon Jones, is the owner of the real estate video production company, Live Open House. Now, at the age of 24, he has six strong years of experience in the real estate industry. From 2005 to 2007 Mr. Jones sold brokered high-end rental and sale deals throughout New York City. In 2007 Vernon worked for Reale Rose as an Asset Manager, managing bank owned properties. Reale is now a partner in the real estate production company Live Open House and owns various properties in New York City and Florida. In 2009, Vernon accepted a position as the Acquisitions Manager of AD Real Estate Investors where he learned the ins and outs of real estate investing. May of 2011, Live Open House’s the first TV show concept was born and the title was ‘What’s Cooking in Real Estate’. It’s the show that pairs up elite culinary artists with top real estate professionals in order to cook up a ‘Meal and a Deal’.
