There are lots of event sites out there competing for what in the short-term may be a shrinking market, acknowledges Josh Fraser, but he argues his company, EventVue, offers a couple of things his competitors don't.In this video interview with Robert Scoble at EventVue's Boulder, Colo., offices, Fraser explains how his company's convention meeting software helps event planners build communities and attract more people to such events in a tight economy. EventVue's registration software offers the opportunity for those attending a conference to create profiles and find out who else plans to attend. With the profiles and Twitter, EventVue makes it easy for those attending the conference to make contact with each other, says Fraser. The company's expertise using Twitter and other social networking tools is a plus for event planners, Fraser says."The people who put on conferences are event planners, not tech people," he says, adding "They don't know what to do with Twitter, and they've just finding out about Facebook."A lilnk mentioned in this video is:EventVue -- http://www.eventvue.com/
