Forest Fire, the NYC-based band led by songwriter Mark Thresher, has seen some changes over the years. Though it began as an alternative folk-rock band, these days the group has found more inspiration from the art-rock likes of Joy Division, Laurie Anderson, Suicide, and Kraftwerk, all of which seems to come out in their use of repetition, straightforward melodies, and synths.
