The Palatine Concert Band will be back again this year playing our favorite patriotic music and much more. There will be brief inspirational speeches by Association President Dave Sniader and Celebration Manager Joan Ducayet who will announce the first place winners of the parade. The Palatine band has been with us a long time. It is a volunteer adult organization that performs a mixture of classical and concert music. The bands web site boasts: "While some of the members are highly skilled, professionally active players, most are teachers, business professionals or retired with one common quality -- a love of learning and performing the finer musical literature."
