According to David Wienberger, big media companies are dumb to treat information as an asset.When media companies like YouTube let sponsors pay big bucks to conduct contests that override actual viewer rankings the net effect is hopelessly compromisedat the expense of viewer trust and reputation. YouTube should explain if it was their intention for the YouTube sketch comedy competition to serve as a metaphor for democracy in America in the early 21st century.
