DUMBO - Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass
For those of you who will not be able to get there
Thank you to Jane Walentas for her vision and years of dedication to restorinig this Carousel and to Jane and her husband for their generosity that brought this work of art to Brooklyn's waterfront. The Carousel was made by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company in 1922. It was the first Carousel to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Carousel is housed in a Pavilion designed by French architect Jean Nouvel. It is SPECTACULAR!!!
