Austin: Hi I’m Austin, from Riverdale, Utah, today I want to show you a really cool feature of the BlackBerry to extend the battery life of your phone. One of the really cool functionalities of the BlackBerry is that it has an automatic back light dimmer. What that does for you, is it automatically adjust the brightness depending on where you’re at. It’s one simple step that will actually extend your battery life, maybe by one or two days depending on how long you use it. What you want to do is go into the main menu here and go over to your options menu. Once you select your options menu, look for the tab that says Screen/ Keyboard and you select screen and keyboard and what you do is come down to where it says Automatically Dim Back Light. Turn it on, exit out and you’re all set up. So now, whether you stay inside, go outside, day or night, your BlackBerry is going to adjust the brightness according to your environment and what that’s going to do for you is save on your battery life and extend your phones performance.
