LOEWY IS A CERTIFIED MUSIC THERAPIST WHO RECEIVED HER DOCTORATE IN MUSIC THERAPY FROM NYU. SHE INSTITUTED THE ARMSTRONG MUSIC THERAPY PROGRAM IN 1994. SHE HAS HELPED TO BUILD MANY HOSPITAL BASED MUSIC THERAPY PROGRAMS AND HAS LECTURED ON MEDICAL MUSIC THERAPY AND ASSESSMENT AND MUSIC PSYCHOTHERAPY IN THE US AND ABROAD.
