The Beet caught up with the famed Xerox researcher, John Seely Brown at the Arthur Page Society Conference in New York City. John was on hand at the annual spring conference of the prestigious society for senior public relations directors and corporate communications professionals to talk about how the wealth of external ideas are driving integration of organizations to the far side. John was the longtime director of the XEROX PARC research center in Palo Alto,Ca., well-known for the creation of many elements of modern computing, including the mouse and the laser printer. Here John shares an example of a site that helps people construct their video story, a site that also happens to be one of his personal favorites: oneworldtv.net. John is also a fellow at USC’s Annenberg School of Communications, as well as a board member of Amazon and Corning. John’s personal website offers more of John’s perspectives on a number of topics.
