Major newspapers have been getting into the online video space at a furious pace. The New York Times, the Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and the News Corp papers have beefed up their online video operations. These news organizations have turned to video management service companies including Brightcove, Roo and the Feedroom.In a big development in online video and newspapers, the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Maven Networks will be powering video for the Financial Times. The company has also just made a deal with Sony BMG to power music videos across Europe. Above is my interview with Maven's Nick Troiano who explained the implementation of the company's platform for TV Guide. We spoke in July.
