This program concludes the Bark August hike groundtruthing the Bear Springs Timber Sale in the Mt. Hood National Forest. As with the August program, various medicinal plants are located and discussed.The second half of the program is a hike revisiting the Gnarl Ridge fire, which burned the eastern slopes of Mt. Hood in September of 2009. The program features picturesque video of the mountain and the recovering burnt forest., along with fields of Lupine and Bear Grass.
