One of the notable events at this year's Flyway Film Festival in Pepin was this discussion between Ted Hope and Jon Reiss, which we're happy to present more or less in its entirety. The lighting is terrible, and there's no fire, but none of that is nearly as important as what they're saying. Right?
Filmmaker Lucas McNelly (UP COUNTRY, BLANC DE BLANC) will spend a year on the road, volunteering his time on independent films around the country. Along the way, he'll document the experience through video, photography, and good old fashioned writing, exploring the idea of location for a creative professional and helping filmmakers not only get their films made, but helping them reach a wider audience for their work.
