Commissioner Frank Avila is the Host for this Christmas Edition of The Senior Network TV program. Commissioner Avila is joined by Mark Piekarz, a Chicago tenor and pianist who returns to CAN-TV after recently taping a half-hour show of Polish classical songs. On October 20th shortly after that show, he performed an hour-long show of Polish songs at the Harold Washington Library in Chicago in conjunction with Polish Heritage Month. Mark became acquainted with most of these Christmas Carols while singing in many of the best vocal ensembles in Illinois: Coriolis(Evanston), Bella Voce(Chicago), the New Classic Singers(Glen Ellyn) and the University of Illinois Concert Choir(Urbana).
