We’re not sure why this was done, but Chevrolet literally “launched” its newest small car, the Sonic, by tying it to a bungee chord and rolling it off a ten-story structure at the Long Beach Convention Center. It is the first digital launch of a vehicle in Chevrolet’s 100 year history. The Sonic’s 1.4L turbo with the six-speed manual achieves an EPA highway fuel economy of 40 mpg.
