She uses many surfaces for her collage. One of the unique surfaces is lace collage called Square Dance with acrylic on Masonite. Which came about in the 1920s. Two of her most well known pieces are titled Cote D'Azur, and Red Hot Blue.Artist's statement:"My abstract paintings are done with watercolor and acrylic on paper and canvas. I am fascinated with surface and often use a variety of techniques such as collage, rubbing, blotting and stencilling to create complex overlays of color and texture. I get my ideas from the ornamental patterns of various world cultures and from nature; places filled with flowers, the desert, and the ocean. I am especially fond of herons. They have a silent dignity and mystery that I find quite magical."
