Dec 12 2007, NTDTV news UK residents arrive in front of the Chinese embassy for a peaceful protest. They’re urging China to improve human rights conditions, especially wide spread persecution of its own people. It was the 59th International Human Rights Day on the 10th Dec. That day, all kinds of people came together in protest at the Chinese embassy in London. Miss Chen was lucky enough to have come to the UK after escaping persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. [Miss Chen, Falun Gong Practitioner]: “I am here today because on this special day, International Human Rights Day, I want to say something for those who are still being persecuted in China, I want to tell everybody out there in the free world that it is time to wake up to face reality of the persecution. It must be stopped to save our people and our nation. It is the nation that we love, not the political party that is leading our country.” A couple that just walked out of the Polish embassy also joined the protest. They migrated to the UK many years ago and have witnessed the protest held by Falun Gong practitioners here for more than five years. More...
