Dec 10 2007, NTDTV news This Thursday will be exactly 70 years after the day when the Japanese army entered the Chinese city of Nanking. What followed is known today as the Rape of Nanking or Nanking Massacre. And in New York this weekend, local Chinese groups came out to rally for greater awareness of the massacre and for human rights in general. Emotions over the Nanking Massacre also swelled up late last month, over the filming of a new Japanese movie called "the Truth About Nanjing." The movie claims the Nanjing Massacre never happened, and compares Japanese war criminals to the 'Seven Samurai,' and Jesus. Chinese historians estimate around 300,000 people died during the massacre.
