Dec 10 2007, NTDTV news And in Wuhan province, appealers recount their experiences of being abused by police and unlawfully sent to mental hospitals. Some were forcedly given harmful drugs. All they did was to lodge an appeal to the central government. Mrs. Zhou's husband was a lecturer at Jianghan University in Wuhan province. In 1996 he died due to lack of medical care. His workplace failed to provide him with his rightful medical insurance. So when Mrs. Zhou decided to appeal for justice to the communist party, she was arrested and locked up in a mental hospital for over five months. More... Less
