The corner of Avenue Medrano and Av. Diaz Velez must be one of the noisiest in the city. The mix of trucks (with imbecile drivers) and their air horns, plus taxi cabs and buses make an explosive combination. Add a total disregard for yellow lights, and you get cars and buses crossing at the last nanosecond before the red and ending up blocking the crossing lane. Genius! The icing of the cake are ambulances, as Diaz Velez is a common route for ambulances from a nearby hospital and also the public emergency service. Music to my ears!
