Linda P. Hevern has been an artist and arts activist all her life. Her collaborations with the Arts Council for Monterey County include art programs with at risk and incarcerated youth as well as those dealing with serious illness and end of life issues. Linda notes that the same art activity bring new appreciation for life for her participants. Here collaboration with Creative Edge enable her to put together exhibitions for cancer survivors and the very frail. The Arts Action Plan Update for Monterey County recognizes the need to extend cultural and creative opportunities to those who are too often overlooked.
