TV-UNThis is the 25 minute video that honors the Arts Council for Monterey County's eight 2008 Champions of the Arts.It includes a tribute to arts fallen activist Martin Macareno. It gives you and overview of the contributions each champion has made to build up the arts in our region as now speech could. The video helps understand the role each Champion of the Arts has played in creating our region's artistic legacy. The 2008 Champions are: cartoonist Gus Arriola, Lifetime Achievement; Big Sur poet Ric Masten, Luminary; King City Music Teacher Bruce Graham, Educator; Friend of the Arts, Elsie Dill of the Salinas Valley Art Association; Sand City's West End Festival's Todd Kruper, Professional; Nonprofit, Aromas Hills Artisans, and Philanthropists, Kim and Gina Weston of the Weston Foundation for Photographic Education. and Volunteer Orlando Castro of the Alisal Center for the Fine Arts.
