Arts Council for Monterey | The Mission of The Arts Council for Monterey County is to improve the quality of life in our region through the arts. Visit our Internet site at Arts For Monterey County.org | Our programs nurture and promote access, participation and excellence in all arts disciplines. The Arts Council provides arts education to over 12,000 students thanks to support from local PTAs, foundations, businesses and individuals. We provide promotional, technical and financial support to over fifty arts organizations thanks to funding from the Monterey County Board of Supervisors and a grant from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. The arts in Monterey contribute $550M to our creative economy. Our videos are made possible by Picture America.org and Picture Monterey which has provided video production equipment for cameras which can be borrowed to tell community arts and other stories.
