Here's a quick video we shot over at our local (Islandia NY) Dave and Busters of an Air Raid: Multi-Player Zone arcade game. Little is known about this game. It's a conversion of Namco's Galaxian 3 six player theater machine.The game plays like many other versions of Air Raid, but with six players can play it at the same time. Waves of enemy planes and warships are on the attack but your job is to man the antiaircraft guns and blow them away.Sadly the guns vibrate when your firing them and the theater doesn't rumble when you take damage so a lot of the fun is lost without the full experience that the Theater 6 provided.It's very odd to see that they made a conversion to this game, it's alright, but make sure you have some friends to play it with, it gets boring with just one player.
Arcade Hunters mission is to disprove the rumor that "arcades are dead." We aim to provide footage of various types of arcades because not everyone likes the same type of arcade (classic, Japanese, casual, kids, etc.). We hope our video's will bring attention to the dedicated arcade operators who work hard to provide a gaming experience that CAN NOT be found on xbox Live, or any other form of internet gaming.
