Arcade Hunters mission is to disprove the rumor that "arcades are dead." We aim to provide footage of various types of arcades because not everyone likes the same type of arcade (classic, Japanese, casual, kids, etc.). We hope our video's will bring attention to the dedicated arcade operators who work hard to provide a gaming experience that CAN NOT be found on xbox Live, or any other form of internet gaming.
At the 2013 Allentown Pinfest one of the new games on display was a P-Roc mod for Cactus Canyon called Cactus Canyon Continued. This upcoming mod adds in a lot of features missing from the initial release of the game. There's more modes including a Super Skill Shot, Drunk Multiball where the flippers are reversed, a Martians Vs. Cowboys mode and more. They even added in new high score options like the Undertaker which counts how many of the yellow stand up targets you hit in a game. Much like ...
"RUN!!! GET TO DA CHOPPA!!!" This is a very early look at the new Predator pinball machine from Skit-B Pinball. Sadly none of the team members were available while I played this so I tried my best to figure things out. This game has been shown off before but at the 2013 Allentown Pinfest it was finally shown off with the playfield artwork! As you can see they tried to make it look like a machine from the 1980's. The game has two sets of flipper buttons. If you press one of the other flippers t...
Here's a look at the brand new arcade game from Sega! It's called Dream Raiders, not riders like I say in the video. The game really takes me back to when Sega made their games larger then life. The machine is GIGANTIC in person and the motion feedback in the chair is amazing. In the game you and a friend "raid" dreams. You can pick one of six different dreams with three special bonus dreams if you survive to the end. The motion feedback in the chair is amazing. It sways from side to side and ...
At the 2013 Pinfest in Allentown Pennsylvania I had a chance to play a fully finished production model of the Wizard of Oz from Jersey Jack Pinball. Just like at the NY Comic Con I had a chance to play as I spoke with Jack about how much the game has changed from the last batch of videos I took of the game. I know I didn't get to show off many of the new features the game offers like the new Black Out Multiball, Welcome to Munchkinland and the fully implemented Rescue Multiball but I will be t...
Here is a look at the lineup of games available all on freeplay during the 2013 Allentown Pinfest. This video was taken on Saturday an hour after the show opened. They had a a lot to pick from and most of them were for sale while others were from owners collections.
Here is a look at the different dealers who attended the 2013 Allentown Pinfest. Many dealers like Marco, TNT Amusements and of course Jersey Jack Pinball came to show off their different games. The outside area was set up like a flee market where you could buy all shorts of different games and parts for pinball machines. Including the Pinball Parlor selling the Joust Trilogy!
This is a look at The Pinball Circus from Midway. This game was made back in 1993. Midway had the idea to make a larger pinball machine and this game has FOUR playfields, the main level, Pinbo the Elephant, The Mechanical Giraffe and finally the clown who constantly taunts you throughout the game. This is one of two prototype machines that were made from Midway. While the game preformed well on public location tests the major distributor from Germany, NOVA said they would not pay 1000 dollars ...
Here is a look at the most recent lineup of pinball and arcade games at the Silverball Museum in Asbury Park New Jersey. A few games were added in and they now have many of the games in rows in the year they were produced. Newer games are featured when you walk in on the right, while the older games populate the rest of the museum.
From the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, this is a look at the new Limited Edition version of X-Men from Stern Pinball, designed by John Borg. The limited edition version of the game includes the shifting Ice Man Ramp, popup targets of Nightcrawler and a magnetized spinning disk that works a lot like Lost in Space. (Please note this video was shot back in October of 2012. Stern Pinball has recently updated the game in March of 2013 with bug fixes and new gameplay features)
This is a look at Strike Fighter from Sega. This game was released in 2000 and ran on the same Naomi hardware that Airline Pilots ran on. There was also a conversion kit to turn Airline Pilots into Strike Fighter. The game plays like a more realistic version of the classic After Burner. They give you several different missions, rather then just straight up dogfighting.
