AboutIf you already add the KKUD repositories like i did, then you would be able to try plasmoid-networkmanagement immediately. For someone who lives under black-rock so do not know what plasmoid-networkmanagement is, then sebas's will give you good descripton about it.Probably this (bleeding-edge) desktop applet is not (yet) stable as KNetworkManager, but it is truely worth-trying and has (imho) many improvements in usability area. So, let it work for you, and makes your life goes easier.. :)Install plasmoid-metworkmanagementMake sure you already have added the KKUD repositories1. Go to YaST Software Management (or use: zypper install plasmoid-metworkmanagement as root user)2. Find package called: plasmoid-networkmanagement3. then click 'Accept' to install itYou'll probably see that 'YaST Software Management' wants to remove package named: 'NetworkManager-kde4', so let it delete the uneeded package.Use plasmoid-networkmanagement1. Make sure the desktop widget is unlocked,2. 'Add Widgets' from the 'Plasma Toolbox' (or click right mouse button on desktop),3. Find the Network Management widget, then drag it to desktop4. Move it to the panel near system tray (if you like it).The icon will probably look 'ugly' on the panel, i think it is bug, but this will disappear right after the connection is establised.5. Configure the connection, it is easy, just click the icon, then click: 'Manage Connections'.6. If it is ready, then choose the available connections.Have fun! ;)
