It’s hard to take a term like ‘anti-pretentious’ seriously, but IAMDYNAMITE nailed it with that one. They’re a two-piece band out of Michigan that’s actually two pieces (drummer, guitarist, both sing). That anti-pretentious thing? That’s fitting. There’s nothing pretentious, high-concept or intellectual about an album called SuperMegaFantastic or any of their high-energy, pentatonic-punk songs. What you get is an uncomplicated, completely enjoyable experience on stage, on record and in person. Case in point: this video.
