Above the Rubble

About this original series

When the earthquake hit Haiti, I wanted to help but I did not know how. What I could donate seemed insignificant when listening to news of bottlenecked airports and lack of organization on the ground. My $25 would waste in the red-taped disorganization that was happening. I figured the only way to make sure my money arrived into the hands of someone that needed it, was to deliver it myself. As word spread that I was going, others with the same concerns as mine, gave me their extra change in hopes that I would make change . Packed with blessings, medical supplies and hardly any information I departed to the Dominican Republic to smuggle my way through the borders of Haiti. Equipped with a small digital camera and a hazy knowledge of what I was about to encounter, I went forth and helped. These tapes are uncensored accounts of what I saw and lived during my time volunteering with the organization that I connected with, JPHRO. Enjoy, but most importantly pass the videos along, all proceeds will benefit our relief efforts in Haiti.
