Charles manages development of blip.tv's public-facing APIs, advertising statistics collection and analysis and non-traditional upload methods like cell phones and FTP.

Before blip.tv, Charles worked as an enterprise java developer at Kashrus, Inc., writing software to automate the kosher food industry. He brings broad industry experience based on private consulting for sites relying on enterprise Java and a range of boom-era startups such as Unplugged (multiplayer games for cell phones) and KPL (internet security).

Charles' interests include semantic search, microformats, metadata management, the counterintuitive best practices of Web 2.0 and the ability of technology to enable markets and other self-organized structures to emerge.
