This is a promo I shot for "The Smart Show", a traveling variety show, sponsored by Holiday Inn Express.
This is a reel I cut for a producer I worked with back in the day. I like it, but it is a bit dated and I can no longer stand the song. It is the perfect length for a reel of this kind, in my opinion.
This is a series of clips from some of the stuff I did with HBO. It was mostly satire with some sketch comedy and other random things thrown together for a website called "ThisJustIn.com". Unfortunately, we all lost our jobs when Chris Albrecht left HBO in disgrace and took the New Media budget with him. It was a lot of fun while it lasted and we got shut down right as we were really starting to get going.
A fun web ad showing how our candidate is all over his district, lending a helping hand. This was a fun shoot. It helped having a candidate who was willing to have a sense of humor about himself. It helped deliver the message that our elected officials are supposed to be civil servants, not just looking out for special interests.
A sketch I shot for Wayout, starring Damon Jr. This one is kind of cute, although maybe not safe for work.
One of the better looking sketches I did with Wayout. I fought to get a gaffer and an actual lighting/grip package for this one. We shot two others but the project was canned before they could ever see the light of day; which is too bad. They were pretty funny.
I felt really lucky to get to cut a reel for this very talented actor. Keir made his debut in "Wedding Crashers" and since then has appeared in numerous films and prime time TV shows. I am currently assembling some of his most recent clips for an updated version of this reel. I started as an actor and, as a result, have a vocabulary that actors can understand. It's always hard to be critical of someone elses work; but cutting a reel for someone is some of the best training in helping other art...
This is a web ad I directed/produced for the Tinklenberg campaign. The candidate wanted to make a point about his opponent's perceived absence from the district and show how she had turned her back on her constituents and their needs. I selected and secured the rights to the music, created the concept, and shot and edited the spot. We achieved great viral success with this spot and it remains a favorite of bloggers and politicos from this past campaign cycle.
I exec produced/directed this ad with the help of the creative geniuses at Fisher Edit & Modern Music in Minneapolis, MN. It was the first spot the campaign aired on TV and garnered great response for being an atypical campaign ad due to it's very positive tone. As exec producer/director, I conceptualized the ad, helped write the script, shot the still images, assisted Josh Thacker on the time lapse elements, oversaw the edit and did the casting of the voice talent, Wayne A. Evenson. I'm reall...
