Lonnie Moore of Dolce Group on Building a World Class Restaurant Empire from Scratch

Lonnie Moore is one of the most well respected voices in the Restaurant World as Co-Founder of The Dolce Group. With his long time friend Mike Malin, he cut his teeth over a relatively short period of time, proving his capability for raising money, building brands, fostering winning concepts, and cutting laggard performers out of necessity. His first business, Belly, emerged from blood, sweat and credit card debt which all paid off handsomely as it grew to become one of top hot spots in the early 2000's. Since then they had moved on from Belly to put their focus into the hospitality industry to build their restaurant empire forming the The Dolce Group in 2003. In addition, it attracted the restaurant industry elite who only frequent the best restaurants in the city. A formula that is not only tricky to succeed with but even harder to maintain. Since then they have gone on to build many establishments around the world the current focus on, Geisha House, Ketchup, and Angels & Kings. His knowledge and insight has been sought after by many and in 2011 VH1 had him Co-Host the reality TV show "Famous Food" mentored a cast of seven celebrities to open a new restaurant concept on the world famous Sunset Strip. This group of celebrities was assigned weekly tasks including concept creation, marketing and promotion, human resource management, and pulling off a successful grand opening. He is respected as one of the most focused, hard working true hustlers and a titan of the restaurant industry.
