How to Get Kissed on New Year's Eve: The Makeup Look You Have to Wear

New Year’s Eve is the one night a year that we go all out with our makeup—the more glitter the better! This year we enlisted makeup artist Stefanie Syat to show us this adventurous makeup look that’s perfect for your New Year’s Eve bash. While we can’t really guarantee you’ll get kissed at midnight, we can guarantee you’ll feel gorgeous and ring in 2013 with a bang. Start with a eye primer or eyeshadow base. We used stila’s smudge pot to hold loose powder shadow and glitter all night long. Follow that up with a shimmery pressed eye shadow like M.A.C Cosmetics pressed pigments in their brand new shade, Enlightening. You can stop there if you want a more subtle look for the night but we’re going all out with M.A.C Glitter. Press into your eyelid to avoid shadow fallout. To add dimension, blend a dark brown or black shadow into your crease. We’re using Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow in Espresso. A line of liquid liner along your top lashline (we love Eyeko’s Skinny Liquid Eyeliner) will define your lashes. And of course you can’t forget some lengthening mascara. Finish your entire look with some light coral blush on the apples of your cheeks, highlighter along your cheekbone and a sheer pink lip gloss. And that’s it! Have fun and don’t forget to tell us in the comments below what makeup look you’ll be wearing this New Year’s Eve!
