Just a short video showing why anime in the west is not what it used to be. Everybody knows by now that Bandai Ent. is stopping distribution on anime due to poor sales. Bandai blame for piracy, which is true, but also there more factors, such as the price. In Bestbuy, the anime cause from $39.99 to $59.99, and some of them are for 13 episodes volume. I don't know if it's only Bestbuy, but amazon sell them at a lower price. Note: The texts in the video, be warn that there are grammar errors, I just rushed this video and didn't check it,my apologies. Here is a better explanation: With the recent report that Bandai Entertainment is stopping distribution anime in the Stateside. Bandai's reason is they are not making profits and blame piracy. However, there is more than just piracy. There are other factors in my opinion of why... One reason is the price, in Best Buy, they sell them almost like a game software. (Show Video) $39.99-$54.99 for 13 episode? Perhaps only Best Buy, the reason is they wouldn't make any profit (correct me if I'm wrong, it's my guess). As a result, they are phasing out anime on DVD/BR, but who's fault is it? Amazon sells them at a lower price. I hope (my wish), there would be a solution to make anime profitable while making it affordable to the consumers. End..
