8bit klubben covers a wide array of areas: hacking, cracking, chiptunes, circuit bending, 8bit art and installations, even 8bit politics. We aim to organize concerts, film showings, picnics, workshops and art exhibitions. Although the initiating point of interest is in the old school computers and technologies, we aim to give a current and relevant angle to our work. We believe that many things can be learned from working creatively with limitations and through challenging the conception of how certain technologies are commonly used. We have a high emphasis on knowledge sharing through workshops, our blog and our forum. 8bit klubben consist of many different people: Programmers, musicians, artists, engineers and we aim towards co-operating with a wide range of different actors and institutions, shifting our location and form with every project. We represent an approach to technology which is user driven, anarchistic, creative and potent. We urge people to work creatively with technology, to make works which inspire or empower the user to take control over their own relation to technology. Ideally works that challenge the user to redefine their relation to technology, into a more fruitful and creative one.For more info goto:http://8bitklubben.dkhttp://8bitklubben.dk/bloghttp://forum.8bitklubben.dk
