Procter & Gamble Partner with CARE to Provide Clean Water to Africa; Sustainalytics Acquires Responsible Research - CSR Minute for March 27, 2012

Procter and Gamble and CARE will provide 100 million liters of clean drinking water in Kenya and Ethiopia, supported by a million grant from P & G. The two organizations made the announcement last week on World Water Day, March 22nd. They also celebrated the milestone of the 100th school in Kenya already provided with clean drinking water through their partnership. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton hosted the event, and also announced P & G’s commitment to the newly formed US Water Partnership, a public and private effort to unite and mobilize resources to address water challenges around the world.

Sustainalytics, a provider of environmental, social, and governance—ESG—research and analysis, is acquiring Responsible Research Pte Limited, a provider of ESG and information and insights to Asian and emerging markets. Responsible Research’s latest report, “The Future of Fish in Asia,” has won the Farsight Award, given to the best investment analysis that integrates ESG issues. Sustainalytics, headquartered in Amsterdam with offices in North America and Europe, marks its 20th anniversary this year of advisory work in global responsible investment.
